I studied at the University of Edinburgh and spent a decade in enterprise technology consulting, leading data engineering teams for tier-1 organizations known for their complexity and scale. Most recently, I served as Director of Data Engineering at one of Asia's leading banks, where I led the team that delivered a data platform serving over a thousand active users and millions of customers — and drove the organizational changes behind it.
The hardest problems in data engineering are never technical — they are organizational
Today, I teach at the National Economics University in Hanoi — one of Vietnam's most prestigious universities for business and finance students — across six courses spanning fintech, leadership, strategy, technology, and professional development. Technology leaders need to understand business context and how to develop people, not just systems.
Outside of organizational leadership, I build AI data products as a practitioner — including multi-agent orchestration platforms — giving me a hands-on view of where AI creates real value and where it falls short.
